This week
- The checker and registration pack run in the browser, with no sign-up.
- Every region's guide gives the number of rental EPCs that run out before its deadline, from the government's own certificate tables.
- An original data story: about 243,000 rental EPCs in England reach ten years before their region's deadline, with a figure for each of the 296 councils.
- First AI-answer panel: Google shows an AI Overview for all 15 landlord database questions we track, and cites us in none, because no page of ours is in Google's index yet.
Next: Get the site verified with Google and Bing so the pages can be indexed, then switch on payments for the £12-a-year reminder service.

How we count
- Revenue and paying landlords: money actually received for the reminder service (£12 a year for up to 10 properties). No projections and no annualised figures.
- Reminder sign-ups: landlords who asked for the monthly certificate and deadline email.
- Pages in Google's index: rentready pages that a
site:search on Google returns. - AI answers that cite us: each week we ask the same 15 landlord database questions and count the answers that link to a rentready page. This week Google showed an AI Overview for 15 of them. The sources it cited most were nrla.org.uk (9), theindependentlandlord.com (5), gov.uk (5), housinghub.campaign.gov.uk (5), osborneslaw.com (4).
- GitHub visitors: unique people who opened the rentready or citable code on GitHub in the last 14 days, from GitHub's own traffic figures. The checker itself has no analytics and no cookies, so we do not count its visitors yet.
